Sitting here between poses and feeling like rambling since it's been about half a year (more I think) since I updated.

Hmm Hmm, Christmas happened! I almost ended up buying Wicked for The Other Owl but he was getting it for me too, so my husband managed to deter me with admirable sneaksy-ness. We'd all got a chance to see it by buying extra tickets a coworker had, and it was really good! And I got a cool box that looks like an ancient tome with dragons and Celticish knots on it! On the subject of Celtic, my sister has taken up knitting, is plotting to make me a blanket with Celtic knots, and has got freakishly good freakishly fast. o.o; Oh, she should post her knitting on deviat art, I should pester her...it seems like it goes so much faster than dollmaking, wahh!

My husband made his potato rolls for Christmas since we were too late prepping the dough for thanksgiving. Mmm so tasty...got to see the family and my cousin's little baby who is over 1 year old now. I've never really had a little kid relation before, not since -I- was a little kid, anyhow. ; p

Umm umm, well, I watched the Sherlock Holmes movie yesterday...it was, as I've been telling everyone who asks a 'fun watch' (though watching pigs get buzz sawed in half was a bit much c_c;; ) There were a lot of borrowed lines and deductions from random parts of the books, too. I could have done without Holmes being quite so...er...manly, I guess. : P Holmes was always portrayed as an able boxer and deceptively strong, but the keyword is deceptively. ; p He's supposed to be a highly controlled intellectual, whose human side is only visible to Watson at all because he's been around the guy so long. He had a lot more obviously pouty/ harried moments than I think would have been betrayed by the real Holmes. But again, it probably made him amusing to a wider audience. All in all, it could have been a lot worse, and was generally enjoyable.

Also playing Dragon Age! Wheeee! I am discovering I've apparently been missing out considering my obsession with good storytelling and characters in a game...I haven't played most of the really good ones that are apparently celebrated from past years-- many of them also Bioware releases. But, then since I'm also a big fan of fantasy realms, it looks like I jumped in at the ideal spot to get totally hooked. ; p I dislike sad twists tho, so after my housemates got further than me and started pining and drawing comics to help them get over the trauma of making the wrong remark in front of Alastair at landsmeet, I sort of tentatively prodded forum threads to prepare ahead of time. c.c --Despite knowing a few of these potentially depressing spoilers in advance, I am greatly enjoying my playthroughs...it's neat how it sorts your saves by character! Now I've just got to get one of my four or so characters all the way to the end...

In plushie news I had a vacation last week (perhaps relating to my constructive mood making me think I should post ; p) and I got a lot of doll work done...I pretty much ate slept and sewed the whole time-- no Dragon Age, no MUCKing no nothing else really...and I still only got about 2 dolls worth of work done, perhaps a bit more-- though I was working on no less than...let me see... 7? No 8 dolls over the course of the trip, so maybe I'm overestimating. I didn't have the cloth required to -totally- finish any of them though! Bwaah! But I made good progress on the commission I got in there, so that makes me feel good. ^_^ Planning on trying to polish some of those off and make commission doll clothes this week now that I am home with my full array of cloths readily to hand.

Guess that's it for now! Fwee!
