Phew! The third of my four little Russias has found a home, only this one with a twist! This one comes with both the Yoke of Tartar outfit and his normal Russia clothes-- I have been told by the purchaser that there may be a photo of him with a lead pipe and a tiny bottle of vodka when he gets there! ^.^; I didn't photo the Yoke of Tartar outfit because you can pretty much see what it looks like in the deviation with that name. ; )

This little guy was made with snaps on his coat and Yoke of Tartar smock, so you can take them on and off, and the gloves and tattered and non-tattered scarfs are also removable. (Though if you take off the scarf, better have the other one ready for him quick or I'm not responsible for the consequences..! ; )

He is about 11" tall, made of upholstery suedecloth with fleece hair and clothes. The little star ribbon as well as his eyes are sticky-cotton colored with Copic marker-- the rest of his face was drawn on directly.

There's one more Yoke of Tartar Russia left with an : o face! Note me for pics and info if interested! ; D

Nice! I'm thinking of making my own Russia plush someday (when I feel I'm good enough to make him exactly the way I want him!), and I was wondering about the fabric underneath his coat: Did you just use the skin fabric, or white fleece, or green, or just whatever scrap fabric, or... something? xD Sorry, I'm not sure if I'm being clear... I'm assuming that that part doesn't see much light, so does it really matter what color I use? Do you remember what you used?

I do, I made all my dolls of skin color cloth at the time, and then dressed them. More and more now I am finding that snug pants and boots especially work almost better if they are just a part of the base doll, though, so I would say it depends on the look of the clothing. For Russia I could totally see patchworking together the body piece with the colors of his white shirt and green pants and everything that's snug to him and then sewing a separate coat to put over top.
ANd thanks!
