-- It's L from Death Note! He's one I'd been wanting to make, so I was glad of this opportunity!

This is also my first doll with magnets-- which is why there is so much gratuitous magnet use in the photos. ; ) He's got a magnet in his mouth and in his hand and in a small brown 'chocolate' square he has, so you can have him stick his hand to his mouth all pensive-like or have him shoving chocolate in his mouth or just have it dangling out of his mouth while his mind chews on bigger concerns.. c.c

L is made out of upholstery suede cloth with fleece hair. His pants are actual thin denim as near as I can tell and his shirt is a thin knit so it can rumple. His limbs are a bit long so he can crouch easier, so he ended up 16" tall.

What's it like using upholstery suede cloth? I've been interested in using it for my plushies. It looks pretty soft

Hello! My main complaint is that what I find is not stretchy at all, and tends to be thicker, so it tends to pucker on curves when I work with it and small things are hard to turn...otherwise it is soft, it is very sturdy, and tends to be available in skin tones. A lot of the ones available at Joanns right now are very shiny though, which can make dolls look sickly if they are too shiny I find. In L's case though that wasn't really a deal-breaker. ; )
