England--Hetalia by Threnodi England--Hetalia by Threnodi
Yay, I got a commission, and it was even a Hetalia one so I could use my Chibitalia pattern again! It's England! I had my friend put on his tie since I don't know how ; p I like how his little belt thing came out, and I was worried about the hair at first but I was happy with the end result. ^_^

I also made the little flying rabbit familiar on a whim because I thought it would be cute peeking from a pocket or lapel-- it's more or less just a cutout of fleece, but it makes me happy.

England stands about 11" tall and is made of suedecloth with fleece hair and clothes, ponte roma shirtfront and brown pleather for his belt thing.

I generally use suedecloth for skin fleece for hair and some clothes, and some knits for clothes as well. As to prices, I have them here:

Ah, that is challenging. I often err towards making coats and sleeves and pants too long and trim them down if they are too long, then mark the change to my original pattern. You can also make a paper pattern and try to conform it to the doll to get a rough idea of how far seams will reach, so you can see if it's going to be way too small usually at least..! I hope this helps some!

Oh gosh, England's hair.. >_>;; His hair makes him take longer than any other comparably dressed doll.. To answer your questions, I made my Chibitalia pattern, though :iconbabylondonstar:'s sitplush is always a great place to start if you haven't seen it yet! And while I didn't use exactly the same method, for hair like England's :iconpheleon:'s hair tutorial is very good-- for England I usually start making paper pieces for like his bangs which is one large piece and copy it over to fleece when it looks right to me, sometimes with a couple small spikes layered over top to make it less flat, and then the back I cut out lots of random uneven chunks of spiky hair and try to fit them together to give the right look. I usually pin it all down till it looks right to me then hotglue it as I remove the pins... I hope that's some help..!

oh thank you soooo much!!! this has helped! I drew my own pattern at first so it was sort of.....awkward lol if you could, when i put up the plushie pictures (eventually, school is just killing me right now!) could you look at them and maybe critique them a bit, if you have the time? I really admire your work!! Thanks again!! :D

This is adorable! I've been killing myself to learn how to make a Russia plushie that looks similar to this, and I've failed every time, and here is one of the most professional looking plushies Ive ever seen!! :D The body is absolutely adorable, it's very chibish but the face still looks like the anime!

Thank you very much! I've made some Russias too-- grown up and baby. ^.^;; I was trying to get a head-to-body ratio similar to Himaruya's chibis, but I had to size the heads down a little even so. ^_^;;

On a SLIGHTLY different note... GIVE ME FLYING MINT BUNNY.
